Generally only review places I really like so this is bit out of phase for me. While the food was good, I struggle to square a $200 Mexican dinner for 2. Best thing was the roasted whole fish for 2 which was excellent. Other items like salad & crab tostada were fine but very expensive. Room is great, nice lighting & friendly service. All that said left feeling like $ could have been much better spent. Unimpressed @ such a high price point.

Questions & Answers
Even if you don't normally like fish, Cala's fish dishes might surprise you. They are really creative, extremely fresh and very unique. So it's worth trying something you might not normally pick.
But they also have tons of other options: Seafood, vegetables and meat are all covered.
Basically Cala is the most interesting Mexican restaurant in the city, so I wouldn't let dietary concerns keep you from giving it a shot. It'll be worth it.

It can be. There is a nice simple menu of tapas like food to order Much of it is rather spicy. But the presentation and flavors were "off the hook" ?
Yes it is a child friendly place.
I wasn't impressed it was overpriced while we weren't there at brunch we were there for an early supper. I won't return
